| MODEL UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND LINGUISTIC DIVERSITY
In an attempt to familiarize its students with MUNGA (Model United Nations General Assembly) conferences, the "Vasile Alecsandri" Highschool in Galati is currently organizing monthly models of the real MUNGAs.
When?
The first conference took part on the 25 th of February and the countries represented in the GA were Albania , Brazil , China , France , Germany , Hungary , India , the Netherlands , the Slovak Republic , Ukraine , the United Kingdom , and the United States of America .
What?
The motion which was debated was "English as a main catalyst for the creation of an international, worldwide recognizable Assessment Test." Brazil and France presented the GA two separate resolutions which attempted to solve this problem of the modern world.
How?
The conference lasted for 3 hours, but none of the resolutions was passed, meaning that the GA was somehow reluctant to create such an assessment test. The rights to cultural and linguistic diversity were invoked by many of the countries present.
